Relieving Hernia Pain and Living Free from Discomfort with the Spinal Flow Technique

When a retired fire officer came to Georgina Mucklow-Davis, founder of Cotswold Spinal Flow, he was carrying more than the physical weight of his past career. Years of stress, trauma, and heavy lifting had culminated in an abdominal hernia that left him in constant pain and discomfort. His wife booked the appointment, and though he initially arrived somewhat skeptical, his life was about to change profoundly.

Overcoming the Burden of a Hernia and Pain

The retired fire officer had spent years in physically demanding roles, often carrying heavy equipment on his back. Over time, his body paid the price, resulting in a painful hernia that impacted his quality of life. His lower abdominal hernia caused pain, digestive issues, and discomfort, especially when he experienced stress or ate certain foods.

“He was blocked from head to toe,” Georgina recalled. “His body was holding onto all this stress, and I explained how Spinal Flow could help release those blockages.”

The initial sessions focused on clearing those blockages, which spanned from the top of his neck to his lower body. By addressing the C1 vertebra and moving through various gateways of stress and trauma, Georgina worked on unblocking the passion, power, and center gateways that were holding tight due to years of physical strain.

A Healing Journey Through Spinal Flow

As with many healing journeys, progress wasn’t linear. “At the beginning, he’d tell me he was still feeling pain or discomfort after the sessions,” Georgina said. “And I told him, ‘That’s great! I want to see change, whether it’s good or bad.’ That means the body is responding and shifting.”

Through consistent Spinal Flow sessions, his hernia gradually faded from being a daily concern to a distant memory. The tightness in his neck and arms that once restricted his movement was released. The pins and needles he experienced as a carpenter vanished, restoring full dexterity to his hands.

Today, he continues to see Georgina regularly, not because of pain, but because of the deep sense of well-being and balance the sessions provide.

Embracing the Healing Process

As Dr. Carli Axford, founder of the Spinal Flow Technique, explains, healing is not always a straight line. “It’s not linear. It’s up and down. But as the body moves towards healing, sometimes muscles that have been contracted and protected will feel worse before they get better.”

This man’s story is a testament to the power of the body to heal when given the right support. The Spinal Flow Technique helps the body release years of built-up tension, allowing it to regain its natural state of health and balance.

His hernia, once a source of constant pain, has become a part of his past. “He’s a happy chap now,” Georgina shared. “And every time I see him, I’m reminded that healing is possible for anyone, no matter how deep the stress or trauma.”
