Transforming Posture and Reclaiming Confidence: A Spinal Flow Success Story
Michele Burch, owner of E-Motion Wellness, helped one of her first Spinal Flow clients overcome a persistent shoulder injury—showcasing the technique’s healing power from the start. The client, an avid weightlifter, suffered from a repetitive injury behind his right shoulder blade. As Michele described it, “his shoulder blade would poke out like a chicken wing,” making it impossible for him to perform exercises like bench pressing. His main goals were to relieve the shoulder pain and improve his posture, both of which had been significantly impacted by the injury.
A Gradual Journey to Healing and Realignment
The client committed to seeing Michele for regular Spinal Flow sessions, although not as frequently as recommended. Over approximately 25 sessions, his shoulder blade—which had once jutted out—returned to a normal position. “Now they’re both level, where before one was sticking out,” Michele shared. The change was not only visible but also deeply felt. In the gym, the client found it easier to perform exercises and experienced greater ease of movement.
Restoring Height and Confidence
In addition to realigning his shoulder, the client also appeared taller—a sign of the body’s improved structural alignment. “He hasn’t measured himself, but I can tell he’s gained some height,” Michele remarked. She explained that, over time, blockages in the body can lead to areas that don’t move, affecting posture and daily function. By removing these blockages with the Spinal Flow Technique, Michele was able to help her client regain both height and confidence.
The Mind-Body Connection
Beyond the physical healing, the client’s transformation extended to his mental well-being. “It’s even helped his overall self-esteem,” Michele noted. This is a reflection of the Spinal Flow Technique’s holistic approach, which emphasises the inseparable connection between the mind and body. As Dr. Carli Axford, the founder of the Spinal Flow Technique, explained, “When there’s stress and dysfunction in the body, there’s stress and dysfunction in the mind. The two are not separate.”
